About the manor
History
Asa's history dates back to the 15th century, though In 1793 Baron Gustaf Leijonhufvud erected Asa Herrgård as it looks today, with the exception of the two extensions on the sides that are gone. The house was for many years a summer paradise for the family of Hugo Stinnes up until the
end of the second world war,
when the Swedish government took it over.

Since 2015 the manor is owned by two brothers
that also runs a farm near by Asa.

Det bjuds på anekdoter och dramatiska berättelser om lantarbetarstrejken på Asa, Konung Karl XVs ingripande för de fattiga, arga direktörer och ofantligt rika tyska industrimagnater.
